Race Day

IMPORTANT NEWS - WET WEATHER CAR PARKING PLAN ( as of 14.00pm, Thursday 29th June)

Heavy rain all week means the Lake District weather gods have interfered with our car parking plans and we can no longer use the Rugby Club for parking. ALL event car parking will now be as follows :

Friday parking (110K competitors only) - This will open at 12.00pm and all day and overnight parking will cost £3 per car. We will have a one way system in place - clearly sign posted. Once you have parked your car, you will NOT be allowed to leave the car park until 12.00pm Saturday at the earliest. If you need to leave before this then please use the public car parking in Ambleside. Please keep dogs on a lead at all times and close any gates after you - there will be stock present on the field. The car parking field is located just to the north of Ambleside off the A591. It is a 15 minute walk to the Registration and our Start/Finish venue at Rothay Park, and the baggage storage will be available within the competitors marquee.

Saturday parking (55K competitors) - This will open at 06.45am and all day parking will cost £3 per car. We will have a one way system in place - clearly sign posted. Please keep dogs on a lead at all times, and close any gates after you - there will be stock present on the field. The car parking field is located just to the north of Ambleside off the A591. It is a 15 minute walk to the Registration and our Start/Finish venue at Rothay Park, and the baggage storage will be available within the competitors marquee.

Event Camping is a walk on campsite only and there is only limited availabilty for campervans. This is being managed by Ambleside Football Club and is adjacent to Rothay Park in Ambleside. The cost is £10pppn payable on arrival. Toilets, showers, changing rooms are all available for those camping. For those who don't fancy a walk from our event car parking to the camping, there are public Pay & Display car parks adjacent to the Football Club
