The 110km Ultimate Trails Challenge is a testing 110km ultra marathon course through some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the Lake District. The tough, challenging course is worth 3 UTMB entry credit points and will certainly live up to it's billing as the most picturesque ultra marathon in the UK. The 110km route also includes 6 mountain passes, 5 lakes, 14,000 ft ascent/descent along with 10 memorable feed stations.
The 55km Ultimate Trails Challenge, utilises much of the final half of the 110km course, and is worth 1 UTMB entry credit point, for those wanting a shorter ultra marathon option

Starting and finishing in Ambleside, the 110km Ultimate Trails Challenge takes in a complete circuit of the central Lake District, along well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways.
The 55km Ultimate Trails Challenge is designed for those wanting a shorter option, and is a great stepping stone into the world of Ultra running.

The start and finish arena will be quite a party, with entertainment, food stalls, trade and retail stands and PA commentary.
The course is fully waymarked and marshalled, with well stocked feed stations along the route. There are some great prizes on offer for the Race, and winners prizes in the veteran classes.
